*5 Simple Tips to Avoid Wedding Firework Disasters* | Written by *Firework Crazy*
Imagine dancing beneath the stars in your carefully picked wedding gown, listening to your romantic song playing in the background, and your friends and family surrounding you as you dance the night away with your new husband or wife. You prepare to hear the sounds of the grand finale you have organised – a majestic firework display to crown the moment.
Then disaster strikes, you forgot to prepare the photographer for the glistening event– they went home after the second set of photos as they thought they were finished – and your majestic display turns out to be a single rocket that no-one even notices! How can you ensure what should be another perfect moment on your perfect day doesn’t turn out wrong?
Tip 1: Check the Finer Details on Time
Don’t just decide to have fireworks at your wedding and forget about them until the final weeks of your wedding planning. Check with your wedding venue as soon as possible whether you are able to have fireworks and what sort of display you are able to organise.
Tip 2: DIY only if you are Confident
Setting off fireworks? You might think it is easy – after all, you have done it during Bonfire Night or at New Year! That said, you might want something a bit different for your special day.
You should only consider doing a DIY fireworks display if you are confident about it and you have looked at other options. The reason people often opt for DIY fireworks is the wrongly held assumption that a professional display will always cost more. This isn’t always the case.Factor in the added stresses of doing it yourself, as well as the knowledge that you will need yourself and at least a couple of others to have not over-indulged in order to hold a display safely. Some wedding venues will even charge more if you are not using a display company!
Tip 3: Get Others Involved
Fireworks are not just about looking at the sky for a few minutes. As mentioned above, you can use fireworks in many different ways. They can be part of your cake cutting ceremony, the first dance, and you should definitely get some stunning photographs of the moment!
Tip 4: Going All In
Fireworks are amazing and shopping for them can make you dizzy. The selection of fireworks can often make you go all in and shop for as many stunning fireworks as you can. Less is sometimes more and you want to think carefully what you want from your fireworks.
Remember you can always combine fireworks with music and other light effects for a bigger effect. The key is to plan your fireworks well to ensure you use them in effective manner and don’t waste your wedding budget.
Tip 5: Be Courteous
It can be hard to believe, but not everyone loves fireworks and some, like small children, might even be a bit scared of the loud bangs. While a surprise firework display might sound fun, it’s a good idea to ensure those who are not as excited can feel comfortable skipping the moment. If you want to surprise, then consider using low-noise fireworks. Above all, take safety precautions seriously!
Fireworks are definitely a great addition to a wedding. You just need to remember to plan well and sort out your fireworks well in time for the big day!
