*A Festive Afternoon Tea*

Posted in: Afternoon Teas On: December 9, 2014

A festive tea at *The Park Lane Hotel* in Mayfair, London is on the blog today.
The hotel is part of the Sheraton chain and has a lovely festive feel to it.
It hosts a fantastic Christmas tree in the lobby.
The *Palm Court* is the most divine art deco lounge and I think probably my favourite room, in which I have enjoyed the delights of afternoon tea.
It looked even more beautiful lined with Christmas trees and twinkly sparkly lights!
The savoury snacks were based on Christmas favourites, including roast beef, roast turkey and cranberry fillings. This was followed by delicious scones with lemon curd and gooseberry jam, which was a really lovely accompaniment.
They also prepared a selection of sandwiches to cater for my dietary requirements, which was really yum.
We enjoyed this delicious festive menu and loved the Christmas themed cake and pudding selection.
The selection of loose leaf teas was impressive and their flowering teas were beautifully fragrant.
The room is just so glamorous with its art deco architecture. It is the perfect spot to relax in and escape from the bustling streets of London, particularly after a day of Christmas shopping or enjoyment of other festivities in the capital.
The live music adds to the 1920’s feel and this really is an incredibly elegant afternoon tea!
We had a wonderful time here, the setting is just exquisite and the festive menu was a real Christmas treat. A highly recommended afternoon tea!
