*A Glitz and Glam Fest at Henley Festival*

Posted in: Dreamy Dates On: November 17, 2014

Today’s *Dreamy Dates* inspiration is the *Henley Festival*.
If you fancy a bit of glitz and glam, then the Henley Festival is the place for you. Taking place after the regatta for five nights in July, Henley hosts the most decadent and glamorous festival around.
Forget mud, wellies and umbrellas, cue heels, diamonds and evening gowns.
Situated alongside the River Thames, there are shiny boats, crisp marquees, sparkling glasses and bottles of Champagne aplenty.
The highlight of the festival is the floating stage that is suspended upon the River Thames. Each night brings a different extraordinary musical act.
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen was this year’s compère.
We were fortunate enough to see the boho beauty that is Joss Stone.
She performed the most wonderful set and her interaction with the crowd was inspired.
As well as the main performance, there are a wide array of roving musical delights.
The banks are brimming with a plethora of eccentric entertainers, human statues and colourful street performers that are more than happy to stop for a photo.
Although the festival is embedded with tradition, it is not afraid of the modern, as this year featured a London cab selfie hub!
It is also a chance for luxury brands to showcase champagne, fine dining and art, including the silent auction.
This year also featured the Lords of Lightning – a high voltage electrical spectacular.
Henley rounds off in style with a fabulous firework finale.
For the night owls who want to continue the party, the bars take on moonlit lighting and even the stiltwalkers stop by Indigo nightclub.
The most sophisticated and glamorous festival around, complete with black tie dress code, Henley Festival is most definitely worth a visit for a fabulous evening celebrating the best of British arts. For more information, please see *Henley Festival*
