*Stratton Court Barn* is a magnificent wedding venue located in Stratton Audley in North Oxfordshire. This wedding gem attracts many happy couples wanting to enjoy their special day in gorgeous surroundings from Berks, Bucks, Oxon, Northants and London. This exquisite barn is the perfect setting for anyone wanting a beautifully rustic wedding reception, being set amongst 50 acres of stunning Oxfordshire countryside. The images in this shoot showcase the country chic charm that Stratton Court oozes and provides the perfect backdrop for spectacular wedding photos.
Karin Tindall, the fabulous wedding coordinator at Stratton Court initiated the whimsical concept for the shoot,
'The woodland fairy, a story unfolding.'
She organised today's splendid shoot, sourced all of the lovely pieces, including crockery, glassware, cutlery and linens and styled the barn accordingly.
The magical sentiment for the day was captured by *Dan Rayner*. Dan is an extremely talented fine art wedding photographer covering Berks, Bucks, Oxford and London venues but also travels much further afield. He has photographed the shoot in such an enchanting, natural way. Anyone who can capture a bride and horse in the same photo so wonderfully most definitely can bring magic to your wedding day! Dan’s impressive portfolio speaks for itself and his delightful outdoor photos really make the shoot come to life.
The ethereal fairy bride wore dresses from our favourite wedding dress boutique, *Butterfly Bridal* in Bicester. Featuring an array of wonderful designers including Charlotte Balbier, Enzoani, Rita Mae by Alan Hannah, Benjamin Roberts and St Patrick, the wonderful Rachel, a wedding dress specialist, can find the perfect dress for any bride, whatever your style. I love the boutique so much that I have personally taken friends there!
“We were thrilled to be invited by Karin to be involved with her woodland fairy styled shoot as Stratton Court Barn is one of our favourite venues and we have many brides celebrating their wedding there this year. It’s always fabulous to work with new, like-minded suppliers and also some of our preferred suppliers. It was such a lovely, relaxed, fun day – made all the better as the sun was shining.”
*Butterfly Bridal Boutique* has an exciting new designer coming…*Ronald Joyce* and to celebrate this there will be a special event in store on the weekend of 24th-26th June. There is also a *Benjamin Roberts* designer event taking place on 23rd & 24th September not to be missed. For more info, please see the *Events* page.
The woodland fairy was dressed in a simple but beautiful dress (Dress Style: D1799) by *Essense of Australia*. The floaty chiffon teamed with flower garland and rustic bouquet gives a real boho chic feel. There will be an *Essense of Australia* designer event taking place at *Butterfly Bridal Boutique* in October (dates TBC).
The fairy bride emerged in true fairytale style wearing the beautiful “Lainey” dress by *Charlotte Balbier*. The full skirt with chiffon overlay and delicate lace trim, teamed with jewelled headdress is wonderfully fairy princess in style.
The woodland fairy bride was styled beautifully with hair and makeup by *Sarah Yeo Weddings*. Award winning Sarah is based in Northamptonshire but travels all over the country and her talent has taken her to many prestigious venues, including Claridges and The Savoy. For this shoot, she has created a lovely, natural look that fits the style of venue perfectly and this is perfect for brides to be who want to look and feel great on such a special day.
The exquisite floral styling for the shoot was created by *Flowers By Kirsty* whom is based in both London and Oxford. Kirsty’s innovative floral designs make for the most magnificent wedding flowers incorporating beautiful blooms, creativity and wonderful attention to detail. This is the perfect combination for truly spectacular wedding flowers and utterly swoon-worthy wedding photos!
Oh my, this rustic bouquet is just gorgeous and with that splash of colour makes the flowers pop out of the photo.
This enchanting wedding cake created by the lovely Helen of *Batch 17 Bakes* is just so pretty. Perfectly placed on the most incredible log cake tier and adorned with delicate flowers and butterflies makes it the perfect wedding cake for a woodland fairy. Helen is based in Bicester, just a stone’s throw away from Stratton Court Barn. All of the marvellous cakes created by Batch 17 Bakes are totally bespoke, so each and every cake is made for you and with you in mind.
Lighting really can make all the difference to your wedding venue and *Oakwood Events* based in High Wycombe and covering the South of England certainly have a fantastic selection of illuminating decor to suit any style of venue. Whether you want pretty fairy lights, magnificent chandeliers or a sea of lanterns, Sarah and Steve have the perfect array of lights ready to transform your venue into a wedding photographer’s haven of wonderful photo opportunities. The warm lighting in today’s shoot is spot on and adds a whole new dimension of style to the, already charming, barn.
*Lemon Zest Cuisine* have made me feel very hungry by just looking at these dreamy photos of their delicious looking food. Fresh ingredients sourced by local suppliers and superb presentation give their wonderful selection of cuisine an edge which would provide your wedding guests with that wow factor and a guaranteed exceptionally tasting wedding menu. Lemon Zest are based in Brackley in Northamptonshire but cover a wide area which is perfect for any foodie couples wanting high quality catering.
The sumptuous menu for the shoot included marshmallows with strawberries, white chocolate topping and raspberry flakes (as pictured above) and fig & gorgonzola on bruschetta canapes.
The innovative mini toad stools were comprised of cherry tomatoes with mozzarella and sea salt flakes.
The novel menus that *Lemon Zest* produces are just incredible and it is their small touches that make them so impressive. Their milk, white and dark chocolate truffles complete with stones handmade out of chocolate tempted us greatly!
A woodland fairy seating plan finishes the shoot off perfectly. Designed and created by Warren Day, this novel piece would make the most lovely wedding keepsake. Just a small taste of what Warren could create for you as a couple for your wedding day.
I have loved featuring today’s shoot, the wedding suppliers are all so talented and the images are most definitely Pinterest worthy! A huge thanks to Karin for sharing her magical woodland shoot with us, I know that many of you lovelies will take inspiration from these gorgeous images.
