*All Aboard the Tea Bus*

Posted in: Afternoon Teas On: November 25, 2014

On the blog today is such a unique afternoon tea experience with *BB’s Afternoon Tea Bus Tour*
The wonderful *BB Bakery* of Covent Garden has created something wonderful – afternoon tea on a vintage London bus.
The London routemaster picks up from the South Bank.
You are welcomed on board by lovely and friendly staff.
The staff show you to your table – we had reserved one at the front of the bus on the top deck and our yummy afternoon tea was waiting for us.
The bus takes you on a sightseeing tour of London whilst you enjoy afternoon tea.
You can take in the sights of London through the windows of the bus whilst you enjoy tea, cakes, scones and rolls.
The bus is so well designed and the tables are sturdy, so that your cakes and sandwiches do not slip off.
Tea comes in sealed ceramic cups and staff refill tea supplies at the back of the bus to avoid spillages.
The cakes were delicious and my favourites were the fruit flavoured macaroons.
The scones and strawberry jam were also scrumptious.
The mini cupcakes were a wonderfully light bite to finish off.
We saw various London gems on our afternoon tea travels…
This was such a lovely and unusual way to enjoy afternoon tea. The staff were so helpful and friendly; they offered to replenish the tea and cakes throughout our journey. If you love afternoon tea and you love London, this is a must do. If you would like a more exclusive experience, you can hire out the whole bus, which would be wonderful for a hen party.
