This week’s *Honeymoon Heaven* inspiration features *An Ocean View in Jimbaran Bay, Bali*
During a summer trip to Bali to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we made a fabulous beach stop in Bali. We spent a few days in Jimbaran Bay staying at the luxurious *Four Seasons Jimbaran*
If you are thinking about a honeymoon in Bali, then Jimbaran Bay is a lovely little beach resort located on the South coast and is perfect to spend time relaxing or eating delicious seafood.
*The Four Season Jimbaran Highlights*
The luxury resort is situated on the hill overlooking the gorgeous ocean.
From the moment that you arrive into the open space reception you can see the sparkling blue waters beyond the gardens that slope down to the sea.
We were escorted via golf buggy to our private villa.
Our charming villa was fabulous complete with thatched roof and traditional Balinese decor.
The luxury villas are just gorgeous complete with spacious semi-outdoor living area, a large bathroom that includes a rolltop bath and outdoor shower, and patio doors from the bedroom that open out onto your lush courtyard garden.
Each villa has its own private plunge pool and a lovely outdoor seating area.
*In Villa Dining*
We enjoyed leisurely breakfasts in our villa each morning with the most delicious array of tropical and exotic fruits.
The resort overlooks the lovely Jimbaran Beach, which is striking with its golden sands and the soothing sound of the ocean. There are a fantastic range of watersports on offer here – surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding and snorkeling.
Coconut Grove Beach is a private and secluded beach surrounded with palm trees and there is plenty of space to relax with the gazebos and day beds.
*Flowers, Greenery and Views*
The hotel covers a large area of land over the hill and there are golf buggies to escort you to your desired location if the heat is too much but the views are very pretty if you feel like having a walk.
The whole resort is filled with colourful flowers and lush greenery and is lovely to have a sunrise or sunset walk.
The hotel has two main pools: The Infinity Pool overlooking the beautiful waters of Jimbaran Bay and The Lower Waterfall Pool, which is set amongst the backdrop of water cascading from the Infinity Pool. Both pools provide complimentary ice cold water, fresh fruits and refreshing ice cream, which is a lovely touch.
We had a relaxing massage in the spa thatched roof hut, which looks onto the beach.
The resort temple hosts a wonderful traditional dance show with local Balinese dancers performing a variety of routines accompanied by an orchestra as the sun sets.
*Ocean View Lunch*
We enjoyed a delicious lunch overlooking the ocean. There a couple of thatched private dining areas positioned close to the shore, offering you a lovely private experience coupled with gorgeous views and a pleasant sea breeze.
Sundara is the beachside restaurant that offers light lunches during the day, before transforming into the chic dining venue during the evening that is perfect for a spot of dinner or drinks.
*Jimbaran Bay Highlights*
There are a range of things to do in nearby Jimbaran.
The main attraction is the seafood restaurants that set up on the beach in the evening. There are countless restaurants to choose from, all offering local delicious fish and seafood often caught earlier that day.
*Drinks at Sunset Beach Bar*
In addition to the restaurants there are also a number of beach bars with cool lights to have a nice pre or post-dinner drink.
*Dinner at Jimbaran Bay Beach Club*
Just along the beach between the hotel and the seafood restaurants is the Jimbaran Bay Beach Club, a rustic restaurant with a lovely beachside position.
Although there are countless temples in Bali, few have such a striking position as Uluwatu, which due to its location on the east coast offers a picture perfect postcard sunset.
We had a fabulous time in Bali with great food, gorgeous temples and beach views along with plenty of time for relaxation. It is easily reached with flights from Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong and many more, so *Sparkles Pearls and Lace* highly recommend it as a multi centre holiday or a beautiful destination in its own right.
