I came across the dreamiest location for chic vintage wedding decor last weekend at The Old Flight House.
*The Old Flight House* has become my new favourite location, as it is a treasure trove of utter fabulousness! I am always trying to source beautiful and unique wedding decor and when my husband took me there, I was in absolute heaven! My only regret is that I have not been before!!
Located in the pretty village of Weston on the Green, between Bicester and Oxford in Oxfordshire, it houses the most wonderful array of vintage, antique and retro decor. There are so many items that would be perfect as wedding decor or indeed for your home. I wanted to buy pretty much everything and spent a few hours perusing the many niceties.
The spacious centre is laid out superbly with individual units showcasing different suppliers. There is a real eclectic mix of items, thus something for many different wedding styles. Whether you are after a vintage dresser to showcase drinks, antique furniture for your wedding reception, pretty china/crockery for a wedding tea party, a vintage frame for a photo booth, candelabras to dress your tables, jugs/milk churns to display flowers or even a vintage suitcase/picnic hamper to display wedding cards, the possibilities are endless! I could have spent an awful lot of money very quickly because there was just so much choice. I limited myself to just one purchase on this occasion, a gold glass mirror tray and was served by the lovely owners who were both friendly and helpful.
I even came across the most stunning 1920’s vintage lace wedding gown. Oh my it is such a beauty and a real bargain at just £250! The quality of the lace is exceptional and the intricate and delicate detail is just exquisite.
After shopping til you drop, they have the most wonderful cafe serving delicious homemade and locally sourced food for you to relax in. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying for breakfast and for lunch! With options to sit amidst the pretty antiques, in the cafe or out in the sunshine on the terrace, this is a charming place that is worthy in its own right.
I shall most definitely be a frequent visitor! If you are getting married and looking to decorate your wedding beautifully, *The Old Flight House* is an absolute must visit in your wedding planning journey!
