Wedding gifts always seem to be such a tricky part of wedding planning for couples and there are often mixed feelings about wedding gift etiquette.  A honeymoon fund, gift vouchers or a traditional gift list are popular options but these options are not for everyone. Many couples do not feel comfortable creating a gift list or might not need anything specific for their house. However, families and friends often still want to shower the happy couple with gifts to celebrate such a special and happy occasion. *Sparkle Pearls and Lace* is so excited to share with you the perfect wedding gift…

Many of the couples I work with often say to me that they wish they had thought more carefully about wedding gifts and wedding keepsakes. Well *Recipe Giftbook* certainly is a wonderful wedding present that cherishes favourite family recipes and is something to treasure. This wonderful gift oozes love and affection, gives you wonderful culinary inspiration and is something that can be passed onto your children. All of your guests can get involved, it is inexpensive in cost but rich in originality and charm. What is not to like?!

The lovely Corrie of *Recipe Gift Book* has kindly offered to provide today’s *Pearls of Wedding Wisdom*

*How did Recipe Gift Book begin?*

The idea had been in my head since I got married in 2010. I didn’t know what to do about a gift list, we had all the household goods we needed (and really didn’t want a second toaster!) We were mindful about the drain on the planet’s resources of unnecessary gifts and didn’t feel comfortable giving friends and relatives with a variety of budgets a list of consumer goods.

In the end we said ‘no gifts’ but due to our guests generosity we were showered with numerous gifts anyway! It made me think afterwards that if only we could have channeled their energies into something….. that’s when I came up with the idea for recipe gift book, a unique, low cost but high value gift from all your guests!

*What can Recipe Gift Book offer to brides and grooms?*

It’s an alternative gift list. If couples don’t need toasters and towels it’s a great way to bring their family and friends together on their wedding day by creating a personalised recipe book. When the bride and groom register they can also select the option to allow their guests to give them vouchers which is ideal if they are setting up home and need a cash injection.

*Why does Recipe Gift Book make a wonderful wedding present?*

It allows the guests to give a really meaningful gift to the bride and groom.
