With today’s *Dreamy Days* inspiration, we are *Up, Up & Away* with the *Bristol International Balloon Fiesta* This year we ventured to Bristol for the 6am sunrise mass hot air balloon ascent and my goodness the early start was worth it.
It was so pretty to see the sun rising with the balloons inflating.
There are lots of places to get a cup of tea and have breakfast, which makes the early start much more comfortable. The colourful bubbles rising up into the air and floating far beyond into the distance was just superb.
There were some novelty hot air balloons too which were good fun.
This is the largest ballooning event in Europe and attracts a spectacular array of hot air balloons from far and wide.
If you are not an early bird, there is a 6pm mass ascent, which also sees the colourful balloons making their way over Bristol.
The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta takes place for four days in August and is a free family fun day out with lots of fun things to see and do and a wide array of food stalls to keep you amused.
This is a such a great way to spend a day – take a picnic, listen to the musical delights of the bandstand, watch an aerial display, have a go on the fairground or even take a hot air balloon flight whilst enjoying the rainbow coloured sky.
Sticking around until the evening is certainly worth it to watch the balloons partake in the Fiesta Nightglows and spectacular fireworks display.
