*Wedding Limericks*

It’s National Limerick Day, so here are some little rhymes perfect for wedding cards/speeches.
Here’s to the bride and the groom,
May their love like a spring garden bloom.
Now i’ll finish my toast,
Give them what they want most,
To be done and get back to their room.
In the many long years that did pass
her love for him none could surpass
But what he loves the most
something we’ll surely toast
Not her charm or her brains but her…
cats!
In the summer he asked for her hand
and on her finger he slid a gold band
now with one little kiss
They’ll share wedded bliss
and then she can start to demand!
We’ve made promises, wishes and plans,
we weren’t always afraid to hold hands,
soon we’ll breathe a sigh
but we’ll try not to cry
when we finally swap wedding bands.
The bride gave the answer: “I do!
he’s lovable, handsome and true!”
Six girls in the pews
all yelled out “I do’s”
and the flower girl cried: “I do too!”
She wore something borrowed and blue,
her shoes were all shiny and new,
he said to her, cold:
“You forgot about ‘old'”
She laughed and said: “Silly, that’s you!”
The bride is stunning in a white gown
She doesn’t know what is a frown
The parents in tears
They waited for years
While the groom is wearing dark brown.
My stunning bride in white.
Makes my life very bright.
Gives me something to look forward to.
Encourages me in everything I do.
She brings love to a whole new light.
He sees her walking down the aisle.
With stars in his eyes and a big smile.
He starts a new life.
With his soon to be wife.
With friends and family and style.
For many years we’ve been married,
and our life together has been varied.
But our love just keeps growing,
so this I am knowing,
we’ll be together til we’re buried.
“Please” and “Thank you” are words I was taught
To be sure that I’d note what I ought.
Since you please me each day
With your sweet, gentle, way
I give thanks for the love that you’ve brought.
Sparkles,
