Its Fri-Yay and I have a whole host of bridal pretty lined up for you today with a fabulous styled shoot!
It was a glorious sunny day in September and I was treated to a wonderful array of impressive wedding suppliers when I arrived at this dreamy location in Oxfordshire. This gorgeous styled shoot organised by the fabulous Bev at *Scent with Love* is sure to brighten up a rather gloomy October day.

I met Bev at the *Romantic and Rustic Styled Shoot* which we featured recently. I was immediately struck by how lovely she was, the diverse range of flowers that she uses and the creative way in which she designs her floral arrangements. I have worked with lots of florists over the years but *Scent with Love* really has something special about it. Bev is probably one of the friendliest, most hardworking and humble individuals I have ever come across and I know that she puts everything into each and every wedding that she works on. The beautiful floral heart (pictured below) has a real rustic feel to it with the combination of foliage, twigs and ranunculus; this would make a great feature for a wedding photo.
The flowers for the shoot really were utterly swoon-worthy, I felt myself wanting to get married all over again, just so I could have flowers like these! The innovative floral styling that *Scent with Love* creates is simply wonderful and I just adore this country chic feel that has been crafted from the arrangement of crates, milk jugs and jam jars. Bev has such a creative and artistic eye, which really comes across in her work – every angle that the flower is placed at works perfectly with the rest. You cannot help but smile at her flowers! I am certain that *Scent With Love* can create arrangements with any combinations of flowers/colours/props, and the result would be the same every single time…incredibly beautiful photos and a very happy couple!
This super pretty arrangement (pictured below) is just dreamy and would be fabulous for a centrepiece. The gorgeous combination of flowers used: amnesia roses, snowberries, spray carnations and scabiosa work perfectly and the stunning colours of these blooms create such a romantic feel.
The unique selling point of *Scent with Love* is that both flowers and beauty are offered. Bev is a highly trained beauty therapist, having worked in the prestigious spa at The Oxfordshire. She is based in the lovely village of Tiddington in Oxfordshire, where she has created the most charming log cabin in her garden. Clients are treated to a relaxing and pampering experience and I have been there for manicures and a facial, which have been fabulous! Bev can take care of all of your bridal beauty needs and can also do pamper parties, which would be perfect for a relaxing hen weekend in Oxfordshire. For the shoot, Bev’s gorgeous daughter Jade modelled and her beautiful bronzed glow and perfectly manicured nails were created by *Scent with Love*.
*Meadowbrook Farm* was the stunning location for the shoot, a family run business that has been tended to by three generations of farmers. Situated in the village of Moreton, near Thame in Oxfordshire, their dreamy waterside setting makes for the most incredible wedding location. This would be perfect for a boho-inspired, festival or country chic wedding. There are copious amounts of photo opportunities, which are guaranteed to result in beautiful wedding photos.
The flexibility of the venue is just so impressive and the extensive grounds offer a fantastic spot to erect a marquee. The whole area surrounding the water is so private and feels like an enchanting, secret location. The only other noise you might hear would be from the cows and that is utterly delightful in itself, adding to that country rustic feel! A lovely decking area has been built, which would be perfect for hosting reception drinks and their pleasant log cabin can be used for evening barbeques or hog roasts, set up as a wedding snug – a lovely area for your guests to chill or to be used for a post-wedding brunch.
There is ample space for your wedding guests to park their cars or even to pitch a tent. *Meadowbrook Farm* even offer Bell tent hire, which is fantastic for a touch of glamping and a great way to continue the wedding celebrations. Even if camping isn’t your thing, there are four charming cottages available for self-catering. Becky, the event organiser, grew up on the farm and got married here herself. With this great love of her family home, she really has thought of everything to make this into such a delightful wedding venue.
The magnificent images from the shoot were photographed by the very talented *Caz Wales*. Caz is Thame-based and covers the beautiful surrounding area with her great enthusiasm for ‘keeping it local’ and building strong relationships with local businesses. She really enjoys working with local families and her gentle, patient nature is key for these shoots, especially when she photographs those special newborn moments. Caz is very much people-focused and ensuring her clients happiness is her most important priority, which is really refreshing to see.
Her photographs make such a lovely impression that this is often the start of a long lasting relationship with her clients. Caz loves nothing more than to capture the natural moments of people’s lives and their significant life events, including engagements, wedding, new babies, birthdays and anniversaries. Documenting these special moments is such a lovely thing to do and putting your trust in someone as passionate and professional as Caz is sure to create lifelong memories to be treasured.
Caz’s love of photography is clearly shown through her work. Her relaxed nature would be such a calming and positive influence to have on your wedding day, so that you get to enjoy the day with the knowledge that every moment is being captured. Creating truly beautiful images is what Caz prides herself on and watching her work was fascinating. Seeing first hand, her attention to detail, her flair for obtaining natural shots and the way in which her photographs captured the beauty of the surroundings was remarkable.
Hair for the shoot was styled by the marvellous Mandy at *Wedding Hair Boutique*. Another genuinely lovely supplier that I had the pleasure of meeting on the day. Mandy has over ten years of experience at creating stunning hair styles, including working in impressive Oxfordshire salons. From talking with Mandy, it was clear that bridal hair is her great love and her enthusiasm for making brides look and feel beautiful really shows in her work. The gallery on her Facebook page shows the spectacular array of styles that she has created over the years. She is based in Towersey in Oxfordshire but can cover anywhere and offers hair styling for brides and bridesmaids. The two rustic hairstyles that were created for the shoot really had that wedding wow factor and after seeing her work, I so want Mandy to do my hair for my next event!
For the first look (pictured above), Mandy styled Jade’s hair with a pretty plait adorned with flowers and I absolutely love this style for a bride! The second look featured a loose plait with a drawstring effect, which is such a refreshing change from a more traditional updo. Watching Mandy work made these intricate hairstyles look easy to create!
Jade’s stunning looks for the shoot were created by the brilliant *Abbie Martin*, a highly professional makeup artist and beauty therapist. Having trained at the Brighton Academy, she has experience in TV and film and some of her work has been published in Paul Wilkinson’s new photography book, which is testimony to how talented she is. Abbie specialises in bridal beauty and has built up an impressive portfolio of very happy brides who feel that Abbie has done a wonderful job in making them look beautiful but still feel like themselves on their wedding day. Lots of brides often say to me that it is so important for them not to feel like a different person on their special day and Abbie gets this just right with her brides. She is able to cater for the whole bridal party, including bridesmaids and mothers and can also offer a whole selection of fab beauty treatments. Her lovely warm nature immediately puts you at ease, which is just what is needed on your wedding morning.
The looks that Abbie created for the shoot were breathtaking. The combination of smouldering eyes and burgundy lips (pictured above) was really striking, whilst the shimmering tones of browns and purples on the eyes with nude lips (pictured below) was much softer. I was really taken back by how radiant she made Jade’s skin look in real life, as well as in the photos. This is often such a worry for brides who do not want to be airbrushed but Abbie created such a natural glow, which was lovely.
A huge thanks to the fabulous team of wedding suppliers for sharing these gorgeous images with us. It really was such a pleasure meeting such lovely people and attending this splendid shoot. What a fabulous way to end the week.!
