*A Lush Stay at The Laguna, Nusa Dua, Bali*

During a trip to Bali, we spent three lovely days in Nusa Dua at *The Laguna Resort & Spa*.

Nusa dua is a pretty and accessible part of Bali, with lovely beaches and some beautiful hotels. It is less than half an hour from Denpasar international airport so perfect if you have come straight to Bali after a long flight from the UK.

We chose to begin our time in Bali here before venturing up to Ubud for a few days but most of the island is easily accessible from Nusa Dua, so you could easily see the beautiful temples and rice terraces of the island through day trips and come back to the comfort of your lovely hotel in the evening.

We chose to stay at the Laguna hotel due to its serene lagoon setting and we can highly recommend this!

The view from our suite was fabulous overlooking the lush lagoon and greenery.

The resort is beautifully designed with an enormous lagoon style swimming pool that runs through the resort, curving it's way around the low rise buildings.

The lagoon-like shape means that people find their own quiet corner and it never feels crowded or busy.

In our favourite little section, there was even a poolside restaurant and because it was hidden away we quite often seemed to be the only ones there!

An attractive feature of the lagoon design was that the lagoon access rooms allow you to come out from your room, onto your terrace and simply step (or jump) into the pool, meaning you don't have to worry about forgetting something on a trip down to the pool!

The beachfront is also beautiful and we saw a wedding ceremony taking place during our stay.

The beach (as well as the pool) is dotted with picturesque "bures" (day beds with pillows, drapes and a canopy) that made relaxing by the pool even easier!

Another advantage of the Nusa Dua area is the variety of dining options you will have.

Many of the 4 and 5 star hotels are accessible by simply walking along the beautiful beachfront with each set back from the beach and having its own individual style. You can even walk down to "the collection" centre in search of other restaurants and shops if you fancy something different.

Within the hotel though, there were always delicious breakfasts as well as an amazing ice cream parlour.

Pretty lanterns light up the resort, perfect for a walk after dinner!

Adding this to the amazing service and spa, as well as the cultural and scenic sights of Bali, this was a perfect spot to be in our stay on this amazing island.
